One week left to go...
Been using this week to work on my dissertation, especially trying to finish up the literature review. It's been like pulling teeth though I have gotten a lot done, especially working at home. Two more days to finish this chapter, and probably next Tuesday to get Chapter 3 done and tidy enough to be sent to my dissertation advisor before I leave for Hawaii.
I did make it out to Target today to pick up some small items for the trip. Found my other pair of boat shoes I got in 2010 before I left for Hawaii the first time. I wore the first pair constantly, but the just hit the trash being worn out and soles going. The second pair will get broken in during the trip. I am getting excited on one level, but I have so much work to do on another. Anyway, it will be a busy next couple of days. The last day in the office will be Monday, when I have a couple meetings to deal with before I leave.
Tuesday is work at home (or the office to finish up) and then spend time with friends on Tuesday night. Wednesday is a doctor's appointment in the morning (just a checkup) and then packing all day as well as the last of the laundry. Next Thursday, since my flight leaves Orlando at 7 am, that means getting up at 4 am and leaving the house by 4:30 or so. At least I should be able to sleep on the five hour flight to LA.
Okay, time to take a break from dissertation work and back to it in the morning.
